You are mainly known for your rare rap mixes, but having followed your website for a while it becomes obvious that you really do delve into all different types of music, so what was your musical upbringing like? What music did you listen to when you were younger?
I had completely forgotten about this until it came on when my iTunes was set to random while cooking dinner. I think I made it around 2005, and hearing it while stirring soup made me realize how well it seems to have aged. Definitely grown, and definitely sexy. The songs mesh so well you almost can’t tell it’s a song sandwich.
My buddy Mr. Jeigh in Portland, OR told me he had been working with a crew out there that threw Motorcycle Parties and they had highered him to travel with them as a DJ. Sounds like a pretty fun gig! I actually played a motorcycle event a couple years ago in the back of Roberta’s in Bushwick.
This Summer is fixing to be a big one! I’m finishing up the 7-song ‘American Style Cardboard’ EP with the extremely talented, Godforbid on vocals. This is my first time releasing an album of original music with a vocalist and I’m super proud of what we’ve accomplished. We should have it available on vinyl and digital by late August....read more
